The Start Of Summer

Since i was 13 years old i had been reading books about a girl who has the best summer ever. She spends her whole day with her friends lying on the beach, she falls in love,the girl just has to me the best summer ever. I always wanted that type of summer maybe not always the falling in love but just the spending all day long with your friends and then waking up the next morning and wanting to do it all over again.Although i am not in high school or college and don't have a a entire summer where i can just do whatever ( got to make money somehow) this is my perfect summer and this was how i started it.

So a little fact about  me that i am normally embarrassed to share, but for you guys ill let you know! I can not swim. You have heard it here i can do the puppy dog paddle or whatever you call it but other then that i don't really know how to swim. But i put that aside and this weekend i went kayaking.

To be honest i was a little nervous at first, i had never been kayaking and wasnt really sure what to expect. At first it was a little hard to get the hang of it i knew how to paddle but kept running into people and going the opposite direction. After about 5 minuets i got the hang of it and was able to go fast! We would kayak a little and then stop and just let the water take us. I just wanted to kayak at first because the current was coming towards us  so it started to push us in different ways well at least me. After we got out in the watter a little bit more though it was calm and it was fun to just sit in the sun. 

We ended up just going all the way to the other end of the river and they all look for quahogs ( i had no idea what i was doing so i was moral support). We spent a good 2-3 hours just hanging out and quahogging. I unfortunately  i had to pee so this girl had to learn how to pee in the ocean. 

After we were done we kayaked back and just hung out. Since we had caught so many quahogs

My friends mom cooked everyone a big meal and we just had fun. It was the best to just be together  i have just met some of the people that i had hung out with and it was awesome to make new friends. Its so hard especialy for me i feel to find a group that you fit in with. I met this awesome group of people and am so glad. Once we had dinner we went and watched a movie and just laid  around and had some ice cream. 

I am so excited for this summer this will be my perfect summer. i want to make so many memories and to blog about them not only to bring my friends and family i don't see very often on this journey with me. But i want to be able to look back at these post and to remember the summer. Its important to me to have a great summer because i have tons of changes coming up in the fall. Well really one, starting school and starting my journey on becoming a pre school teacher. So this will be my summer of fun and adventure but most of all making memories and friends.
